How Moral Are The Moral Police?

Today every action is being followed by the moral police but the ultimate question remains who gave them the right to?

Some actress did a bold scene in a movie and the so called moral police are all set to protest against the censor board's decision to pass it and the actress who did it. The truth is that such people who protest in wide daylight are the ones who under the darkness of the night are the first ones to see such stuff!!

Then why protest?

They protest because they want to keep the values of the society alive.

Aren't they a part of the society? Doesn't it shame them to watch it, even under the dark shelter of night?

In private what anyone does is his private matter, but such things should not be up in public. Well, everyone has the right to do whatever he/she wants until it hurts the integrity of anyone be it in public or private. So how has the actress hampered or questions YOUR integrity. What she did was her personal decision. Not to watch it is yours.

Isn't this right and fair?

Then why are personal issues being brought up at the name of values?

This is not the case of today. This has been there in our society for a long-long time now. Be it some political party in some state banning the celebration of Valentine's Day or some other party in some other state closing down dance bars.

Personal issues have always been covered by the golden wrapping of society welfare and implemented.

No one questions it, so it persists and the question remains, what is the role of moral police and how moral are the moral police.
