Recently I have been flooded with emails of people asking how they can get started for free with internet marketing. It is getting to the point where I almost have a copy/paste response. It goes something like this: If you want to get started with a business, be it online or a traditional business, then you are going to have to make some investments, both of your time and money. If you are looking to do everything free, you might as well not start because just the mindset behind it will pretty much guarantee that you will fail.

The myth of getting started with online marketing free is not only becoming a hassle to those who want to do it right, but what is even worse that these people spend valuable time trying to figure out how to do things for free, instead of making some minor investments and doing it right. There is no easy or free way with internet marketing, with the exception of affiliate marketing. Even though you will still need some basic tools in order to do that effectively, yet many affiliate marketers think it is enough to get their affiliate link and then plaster it all over the place. Most of these "I am doing internet marketing free" people, are not making a substantial amount. They do at least not enough, to be able to claim that they make a living with their internet marketing.

So if you are looking to get started with internet marketing, make sure you realize that the more "free" stuff you try to look for, the more time you are wasting. This valuable time you could be using to really make money and cover the $30 monthly investment you should have done in the first place.
